The 1st-generation Calcite grew as scalenohedral, forming the foundation for future growths. Tabular and trigonal Calcites then grew over it, giving rise to the current look; however, this growth was interrupted by a sudden dense formation of chalcopyrite at the tips of the 1st-generation Calcite, and at sporadic spots around the cluster. This is evident upon inspection of the cluster: where the trigonal faces of the 2nd-generation Calcites should meet, it was interrupted and replaced by a dense pyramid of Chalcopyrite.
