Elmwood Collection ELM15 - Calcite, Pyrite
A Zinc mine discovered in 1969, Elmwood Mine is one of the most high profile locality for a combination of Fluorite, Calcite, Galena, Sphalerite, Baryte and Dolomite.
Known for their glassy orange dogtooth Calcites, and their high clarity Fluorites with stepped modified surfaces and their signature "Carthage Corner" (a corner devoid of any etching and colouration, an uncommon characteristic known to occur in fluorite specimens from only this locale), Elmwood pieces are extremely limited in stock due to the new mining practices from the incumbent owner prohibiting unauthorized extraction of minerals of any kind.
