These Fluorites are distinguished by its distinctive faces, which occasionally exhibit color zoning with the darkest purple occurring along the edges of growth spirals. The Fluorites are found in a matrix that is brecciated and resilicified during and after Fluorite growth. This makes it an exceptional specimen with a unique origin. 

The El Filo Vein is a small producer of Fluorite, making this mineral rare from this locality. However, the Fluorites' popularity has led to many specimens being mislabeled, making the El Filo Fluorites even more valuable to collectors. The cubes of purple Fluorite come in a wide range of saturation, from lavender to dark purple and blue, almost black. The Fluorite cubes are highly lustrous, adding to their beauty and value. 

Some of the Fluorite specimens from the El Filo Vein exhibit skeletal growth, with multiple small faces on the surface. This unusual feature adds to the rarity and uniqueness of these specimens.
